The Sao Paulo State Music School – EMESP Tom Jobim provides education for children and young adults on classical and popular music, and further development for musicians who have finished their education and wish to evolve their training. More than 1300 students dispose of a range of 40 programmes.
While maintaining its focus on excellence and education, EMESP Tom Jobim offers through its musical programmes professionalization and improvement (continuing education and advanced education), practical classes offered on an individual or collective fashion, as well as theoretical classes.
The continuing education programme is aimed at students who are looking for a practice-based learning of instruments or chant. The structure takes place in cycles, according to ranges and level of musical knowledge of students.
The Advanced Education Programme is aimed at those who have completed their education and want to further their knowledge on expert areas as follows: composition, choir conducting, early music, opera studio and advanced instrumental practice (classical and popular).
